John, I think in comparrison with other gaming figures I have seen, (rather than figures I am capable of producing myself), they tend to suffer from a bit too much of an overall glossiness and a lack of blending and shading.

Obviously at the magnification you have them at you can see everything, and I don't even know what scale we are talking about here, but there does not seem to be much in the way of blending, which would take the realism to another level relatively easily.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not the expert here by a long stretch but I assume you want constructive feedback rather than anything else?

This is a link to an amazing site that I visit occassionally for inspiration which contain some superb tutorials and hopefully might just help you along the way.
