Thumbs up

Howdy Bob,

I just wanted to thank you again for another great looking model. I was just curious as to what programs you use for your designs or whether you are doing these "old school".
I have used pepakura unfolder, metasequioa designer, anim8or 3d design program as well as blender and a few others.
Another program that I am interested in, but have yet to use (you may also find it interesting) is "Photomodeler Lite". This is a photo modelling program in which you take pictures from a specified distance of a subject, from several different angles and the program apparently combines and converts the images into a 3d model, which i am hoping could be "unfolded" via pepakura. If you get a chance, have a look here: Download PhotoModeler Lite v3.1a Freeware software - Softlookup Downloads This may be something to help you design a model that you have been "putting off" for one reason or another. below is the programs description:

PhotoModeler Lite v3.1a Description:

turns photographs into three-dimensional models. PhotoModeler Lite is based on photogrammetry; the science of extracting data from photographs. With PhotoModeler Lite, you can create 3D models from photos, complete with points, lines, surfaces, and mapped phototextures. The newly-created model can be saved in DXF, 3DS, and VRML format for use in a variety of applications such as animation, engineering, architecture and Web publishing. PhotoModeler can import TIFF, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TGA, PCX, PCT, and PSD image file formats.

Anyway, again, great looking model and thanks for the free download. Have a good day,

Greg aka GW
