Ok you are going in to this on a larger scale than Grahame's model but I think his thread is well worth a read with all the construction tips he has thrown in along the way.....these will be just as valid for your model allowing for the bigger Engine, the tips will no doubt apply to your larger version.
Grahame has covered quite a lot of in depth work on his SE5a and I would recommend you read through his thread on this very plane.....You will certainly learn a lot on there for your model.
