| F104's Nice model of an Aircraft which unfortunately suffered a rather disproportional failure rate as a Fighter in it's NATO role. Quickly superseded by better aircraft, the Fledgeling German Air Force Luftwaffe lost quite a few Starfighter Pilots, fast gaining a reputation as the Widow-maker. I'm told that the US Air Force prefered the old Thunderchiefs, Skyraiders, Skyhawks and even Sabres.
Part of the problem was ever improving weapon systems fitted to out-dated aircraft. Something our own Fleet Air Arm was a victim of....but that's another story.
I remember building one years ago...either Revell or Airfix made it, but I badged mine up in Luftwaffe style.
