Great! Can you quote an FS- or British Standard (BSS) number for this red? 'Signal' Red?
The oranges I find in the Tamiya and Humbrol ranges look 'oranger' rather than orange-red. Perhaps a mix is the best way to go. Maybe White Ensign have mixed this under their USA range of enamels.
Or I shall do the earlier white 'plane (I like the early bubble cockpit on the first example). All this for the D-558-1 straight-wing Skystreak.
The other kit from Anigrand that I have so far for this 'X'-project of mine is the D-588-3 'Skyflash', an unbuilt prototype/paper-project plane.
Found internet images of a wind-tunnel / demo model, which appears to be aluminium or grey in the black and white pic.
Anigrand suggests the 'Skyflash' was intended to be white (probably like the late X-15 flights). It also has a large ring at the rear, that looks like the 'plane might have been intended to be mounted atop an ICBM like the 'Dyna-soar'?
