Howdy guys,

This is more or less a note to Jeff, I am not sure who the designer of the sidewinder model is without looking it up again, but I do know that if he stated it was a flying model rocket, then he designed it to fly.
Back when I spent alot of time over at the cardmodels forum, I met Eric and Niels , Both are members here and both are designers of flying cardmodel rockets. Eric seems to have dropped off the face of the earth in the last year, but Niels still has his website full of model rockets and the site that Richard got this model from still has alot of erics models. Even the regulus I and II models along with the Snark models were designed to fly using estes type rocket motors. The same applies to most of niels work, I have built a few in the past, but never flown any although i have seen their videos of test flights. Eric truax's Iraqi scud missile model is even designed to fly.
Below are the links to the sites where you can find the various models:

Niels site: Niels papermodels many free rockets be sure to check out his links page for even more rockets here: Nielspapermodels - links

and this site offers the works of eric truax and others (this is where the sidewinder model is located also): DPileggi

Now the 1:48th scale model of the regulus II missile was one of Erics prototypes that he sent to me and I "enlarged" from 1:96th scale to 1:48th scale, as far as I know, I am the only person with the file who has permission to redistribute it so if anyone wants it, let me know and i will send it to you via email. Its about 22 inches long assembled and although I have never tried to make it fly, with some modifications I am quite certain it would.

Oh and richard, the amraam I found was a rather small model, but you can find it here if you want it: http://hades.udg.es/~giro/pc/aim120.php

Have a good day,

greg
