Well, back when I was a kid in the early 80's we just found a field and stuck a coat hanger in the ground, a waterproof wic in the engine and a piece of curved ductwork tubing for the exhaust blast! Nowadays, my LHS does still carry estes engines, which are just a condensed form of gunpowder. I'm shure that a permit is required but given the famous lovely "patriot act" and the ability to produce hieghts of close to 3 miles, a careful bit of planning is necessary. BOOM! |
