Nice looking model so far and I am in agreement with Richard above, a bit of patience and some wet and dry work will probably recover the paintwork enough to get a nice finish. Keep going, I am looking fowards to seeing how she finally turns out.
Ps I take it you got my PM for the links to the engine pics. Having seen your engine here now, I know the first link was spot on !!
