Thought I'd post a bit of an update, but firstly thanks to all the advice and tips. I've tried a few products to try and sort out the body. Firstly I tried some Micro Mesh Polishing stix good for those difficult areas but not so good when used wet as they started to fall apart. Then I tried the Tamiya finnishing compounds found this to be a lot better than the stix's finally I tried the Micro Mesh Surface restoral kit a bit pricey but very very good. Here's a pic of the body work almost ready for painting.
Now having read a few magazine articals on sports/racing cars I thought I'd try my hand at carbon fibre decals.
Finally I've had a try at flocking and carbon fibre decals on the steering wheel, it looks ok not bad for a first attempt
So all being well I'll get my compresser on Monday so I'll have another go at spraying the body. I'll post another up date soon.
