Wink lock up on club 500

Hi Tony.
If you fit a washer between the bearing then two nuts then fit the Prop, lock the end nut to the prop with a spanner then lock the 2 nuts together with spanners leaving 1- 1.5 mm float in the shaft, do this both ends i,e. to the coupling. just to add a rider, If you can find thin spanners it will be easier, alternatively I grind them down on the grindstone. if you're using 4mm shafts the nuts usually take a 7mm spanner or a 3B.A will fit. Some people like to fit an oil tube and fill the stern tube with oil, then fit O rings to retain it as this takes less engine power to turn, I personally find this messy and prefer Marine grease and put this in through a tube just the same using a syringe without the needle to pump it in, this method stops the ingress of water up the prop tube as well as lubricating it, p.s. I do the same on the rudder tube.
I hope this helps you, it also may help others who have the same problem.
