basically the higher the number the longer it will last, they drain slower so last longer, and also need a little longer charge time, I'm sure someone else will describe it a bit better
does the battery have a number on? of the top of my head I think AA are MN1500, I work for an electrical wholesaler I can see how much we can get them for.
