Alas the Britfix balsa cement has all been used up !
***Nitrated Humbrol dope ! thats a museum piece Duncan,I dont think that Humbrol have done a production run in years, probably very old stock but still perfectly useable,I picked up a load of Butyrate dope the American equivalent at a car boot sale, that too was some shop that had closed down and clearing out,ah real balsa cement as well ! without the mustard they added to stop the glue sniffers, there was an outburst when Humbrol added and changed the contents, people complained that it would not stick properly but it was all in the mind.
If ever you need a really super balsa cement then treat yourself to a large tube of Ambroid from SAM's it will last you for ages,it dries yellow without any shrinkage so no warps, yes for the small scamle builder good old fashioned balsa cement is still the very best.
By the way the main reason that coloured dope went out of fashion was due to Humbrol pushing enamels as being much lighter, dope is heavy,if you use them for flying models just drop the normal enamel thinners and substitute cellulose thinners,it not only dries better but will pass through an airbrush much better.
