*** To assist others in the future,the colour trace returned so I downloaded the above,panic stations as my machine would not boot up with some hydroglyphics and something about BIOS,then I unplugged at the mains and let everything settle,the re-boot was then successful,my screen was all over the place so I had to fiddle a bit to fit the monitor,it seems best at 16 bit,1154x864,131 dpi also altered the fonts as well.

So everything back to normal thankfully,one question,why is it that when you download these new drivers it alters the desktop every time and why do they need updating so often ? just wondered.
