| | Hi I'm New | Does Anyone Have One Please? Does anyone have in their “to build” collection, a set of: Paragon Designs. Item Number 7213. Six Stub Unshrouded Merlin Exhausts X 8. If you do have this Detail Set and you can bear to part with it. I would be happy to pay any reasonable price for this Set. In addition, the postage and packing costs. To send the Detail Set to me. I would be most grateful to you, if you would sell this Detail Set to me, if you do have it. Thank you very much for reading my posting, I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Bill Flook. |

| Howdy Bill, First, welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you here. Now, on to you problem. Ok, let me say that if I had the parts i would be more than willing to help you out, unfortunately, I dont have them. However, after doing some searches online, I did come up with a ton of information from Hannants which may be of some use to you. Isearched their site for engines and propellors and came up with these listings found on this link: http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/ind...&NUMPERPAGE=25
(just click the link above to go to the site) Knowing you are in the UK, I only searched for UK sites that might have the parts you are looking for. But, if you are not adverse to ordeing from the US and other countries, you can find a list of links to other suppliers and manufacturers here: http://www.craigcentral.com/modelmain.asp (click link here) just scroll down this site until you come across any topic that has the links you desire. I am not sure how much help this will be to you, but the second link above is a great reference site for any modeller so you might wish to save the link to your favorites. Have a good day and i hope this helps you find what you are looking for or something similar. Greg |

| Greg, I just want to take a moment to thank you for all that you do for people on this site who ask questions. Even when it is about something that is not your normal areas of interest you go out of your way to do some research on someone elses behalf and make life so much easier for them.
Once again, thanks

| I concur with Bunkers, excellent research, can I add that the Rareplane detective is also a useful source of obsolete and rare bits and pieces, also the seconhand kit chap in Shifnal handles tons of redundant model kits and spare parts, although he used to attend many shows his activities now appear to be web based mostly on E-Bay but he is a useful source of supplies.
Best of luck with your search.

| Howdy guys, Well, first off, let me say that this is "something I know nothing about" lol. The only time I have used an aftermarket part was when I happened upon them and whatever model I was buying at the same time. However, I do want to thank ya'll for the kind words. The way I see it, we get new people in here all of the time, alot of times, they come with questions. Now if those questions go unanswered or if some "regular" here doesnt take time to help, it reflects poorly on all of us. This is not to say I "help out" because I dont want us to look bad, I help out because there are and will be times that I know i will have questions and would hope that someone would try to help me. To me, this site is full of some of the most friendly, helpful people on the internet. So, when I see a person in need, if I can, I will do abit of research for them, fortunately for me, the more research I do, the easier it gets. Just like with the link I gave above....its a good "stand by" when you need information....it has it all from airbrushing tips to manufacturers links and everything in between. And to Bill, I hope that some of the info we have provided to you has been of some help to you. Have a good day all, Greg |

| | Hi I'm New | Thank You Greg. Dear Greg, Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to reply to my request. I have been onto the Hannants website as you suggested. However, Hannants are not showing any of the replacement Unshrouded Exhausts for the Merlin Engine. I would have thought that someone like Pavla Models. Alternatively, Aires that have produce a set, as a replacement for the kit produced Exhaust Stubs. If you think how many aircraft, used the Merlin as its power plant, in all the Engines’ various marks, then there would be a big market for high quality replacement Exhaust Stubs, however the only ones that I can find any information about. Was this set produced by Paragon Designs. Therefore, I hoped someone had a set tucked away somewhere. Who might be kind enough to sell them to me. Thank you again for taking the time and trouble to reply to my posting. Kind regards, Bill Flook. |
