Kit assembly problem

Has anyone built the Airfix Hurricane 1/48 scale plastic kit?
What did you do about the main u/c leg struts that point upward and inboard? They are too short by about 5mm to attach to anything.
Geoff.

Hi Goof:
I did build the bf109 1/24 and it required a lot of plasticard. You could just fabricate a few pieces yourself and glue. I love Airfix kits but they ain't exactly what I call user friendly.

Try adding suitable plastic tube to the ends of the struts to extend them,Plastruct is a good source of this material.
You must have an early kit as this problem was corrected.
