Trumpeter 1:32 Dauntless SBD3 Midway

Hi everybody.I have been given a Dauntless SBD3 Midway (Clear Edition) for my recent birthday.Whilst I have been building plastics since the early days of Frog and Airfix,I am at a bit of a loss as to what I should do with the clear fuselage. All reference photos to the model show it painted and I can only assume this is done on the inside to allow the panel and rivet detail to show.Whilst I would like to make this as an authentic and weathered model,I am not into the airbrush methods. Can anyone give me a few pointers,as in this scale (1:32),I really must make every effort to produce detailed paint effects.I clearly have spent too long with RC flying scale to keep up with paint and techniques for plastics.
