Just wanted to be first!

Soz these pix are a bit grainy. It's because they were crunched for web page use and quick loading.

They are cool, I wish there was somewhere near me to fly something like that, I would have one like a shot

Hiya Adzam, yes they are, or I should say were. We had to move to an adjacent field because of a marina development and now we're getting noise complaints. We may not be there very much longer sad to say. In any case the guy whose building the marina has planning permission for residential boats so I reckon it'll be over as soon as they appear anyhow. Like it or not, electric will be the only thing we can fly in this overpopulated country very soon.

yeah thats unfortunate, i had bought myself a hirobo shuttle an dall the bits and bobs including a flight sim to learn on , only i went to the club local with all me gear only to find out that they may be moving , other than that i didnt get on with the guy who does the heli training, very harsh with his words so to speak, told me mate that his heli rc gear was rubbish and he should never of bought it, and why is it like this and not liek that etc etc, so after that, i sold the heli, and went back to boats and cars. was the closest foray in model flying i had . pity really

( the club is at east fortune , (a disused airfield where the scottish concorde is coming) and is surrounded by a race track, with not a house for miles.)

but as i can see your point, i/c seems to be coming very non PC these days, in everything from cars and boats to flying .

Had a Shuttle myself for a while too. Used to go to any quiet corner to fly. Sorry to hear of your experience with the club training guy. You hear this kind of thing all to often. There's no cure, it's just life, it takes all sorts and you do meet them now and again...

Yeh, it can get pretty depressing at times if you dwell on everything that's going on. People seem to be getting less tolerant of one another's activities it seems. Well, keep smiling and just get out there in the sun and enjoy it while you can. Maybe our governing bodies should be more aggressive and be demanding sites and facilities. Every other minority seems to do okay with this approach. Just look at the land most councils give over to golf! Just a fraction of that would do most local modelling clubs, eh?

Thank Adz, I was thinking of you putting them into the post I put on another page about autogyros. I know the place well, they very kindly allowed me to store my aircraft carrier in one of the spare hangars for a year. My Weir 2 gyro isnt very scale anyway but the other silver coloured one ( cant remember type ) is a beaut. Somebody should break the mold of "scale=Pitcairn" that seems to swamp the autogyro sites in the US. What about Flettner and Focke Wolf and the French guy? Duncan
