Bristol F2B Fighter

Just found this old photograph of a past model,it is a free flight Bristol F2B Fighter, the plan came from a fold out freebie in the long finished 'Model Aircraft' magazine.
Construction was from spruce strip, lots of it ! anyone who has built a Brisfit will know that this is not the easiest subject as a model subject with the underslung lower wing and all those rib bays to contend with.
Flying performance was poor due to being heavy with all of the piano wire used in the construction, she was sold to an antiques dealer who hung it up in his window to attract customers.
Gone but not forgotton.

The thing that made them was the simplicity of the drawings, they made good builds.
