Ray Stits & Bob Starr designed built and flew this little beauty, she was 9 feet 10 inches long and had a diminutive wingspan of 7 feet,10 inches standing only 3 feet high, with a weight of 452 lbs.
The worlds smallest aircraft took 13 months to build at a cost of $2,800 which included the $600 engine price,it was capable of flying some 250 miles and stay airborne for 60 minutes on 5 gallons of fuel for its 4 cylinder Continental engine.
As all model builders appreciate this aircraft was a remarkable achievement in sub miniature aircraft, these days we have quarter scale unmanned machines bigger than this one !
