Meccano Aeroplanes.

This could be my credentials to get in as a model builder to Legoland at Windsor ! she does not get assembled unless a show is on,this 12 feet span Meccano De Havilland Dragon Rapide was built by myself three years ago, features full interior detail and electric motors to spin the propellers up,I built her because she is one of my all time favourite aeroplanes and I had my very first flight in one as my birthday present in 1959,she is very heavy and breaks down outboard of the centre section and the tail removes.
I just cannot put myself to pull her apart after the hundreds of hours that went into her.

She was featured in the De Havilland Moth club magazine after being on show at Baxterley airstrip.

Nice work Barry,
and I agree it would be a shame to dismantle that one, she is a real beauty.

Regards.......Mark
