I built this model over 40 years ago,she still survives in my little museum of retired models,she is the American Gyro Comany Gyro AG-4 built in America in the thirties,surprisingly the tissue covering which was salvaged from orange boxes is still intact and the red dope is just showing signs of cracking.
Flight tests showed that she was just a bit too small to fly well and I have plans to build another one day.

Nice Model...would be a shame to try and fly it now in case you wreck it, Best leave it retired and at least you (and the rest of us..!!) can still enjoy it that way.

Better still draw up some plans for maybe a pair of .10s or .15s for us. I like the look of it. Sort of "Flying Aces" material ? Any data on the real one ?

Spot on,it certainly was built from a 1936 Flying Aces plan,I probably will scale it up for two electrics to about 45 inches span,cheeky little design with real character.
I will dig out the gen on the real ship,she was a one off produced by the American Gyro co powered with two Menasco motors,thanks for your interest.
