| I have really enjoyed reading this thread and thank you for sharing the build with us.
I find it particularly interesting as it looks so much like the one at the Yorkshire Air Museum which I was looking at quite recently.
Very many thanks, I look forward to your next build. |

| Thanks everyone for the feedback. Answers................
Nigel. I saw the nose art and fell in love with it. I saw this aircraft at RAF Finningley in 92 and decided if they ever produced decals for it , then thtas the one i would make. As for weathering , well its a personal choice. I dont like the straight from the factory look as its too artificial on a combat aircraft in theatre.
Barry thanks. I have a couple of tags to add later .
Duncan i,ll only be up there for a few days and spend most of the time visiting relatives. Will try to do some spotting. Staying near Lanark. |

| E.E. Lightning F6 by airfix . Al,most a done model. Started it in 2002 and then put in loft. Opened the box one day and something flipped out .Discovered it was the Ejection seat .Ironic really. Got replacement from Aeroclub the found coaming in cockpit missing .Made a new one and left kit for 3 years. Went back to it and built up seat , made new coaming .Painted it and have applied a few of the decals. Wheels , antenna, probe and doors still to be painted and attached . This will be the 9 th model ive made since sept last year.

| I quite often do that but be carefull, the danger is that you end up with half a dozen almost finished models!! |
