Arrow Fairey Albacore Mk I

Howdy Guys,

Ok, I woke up this morning and decided that since this was my last day off this week, i was going to complete a model today.
So, from 8 am until 12 noon, I built Special Hobby's 1:48th scale Fairey Albacore Mk I.
This aircraft was designed to replace the obsolete Fairey swordfish, but, other uses were found for the Swordfish and the Albacore never officially replaced the swordfish......quite the opposite, the Swordfish replaced the aircraft designed to replace it.
Anyway, here she is:

For those of you who have never put together a multi media model (resin, styrene and photo etched) this is a great beginners model.

Have a good day,

Greg

Thanks Barry,

This model was virtually unknown to me before I saw it in the hobby shop. After I read up on the planes history, I was glad that I had purchased it. The reason I bought the kit was that it was not your typical aircraft. The Upper wing reminded me somewhat of the westland lysander and since it was a biplen, I decided to buy it......(I am on a biplane building spree if you havent noticed here lately).
Anyway, thanks for the kind words.

Have a good day,

Greg
