Arrow Bristol SE.5 Scout

Howdy again everyone,

Well, like I said, I built the OV-10 yesterday morning for the first half of the day, the second half was spent building this model, Gavia's Bristol SE.5 Scout Biplane.
This is a really simple and easy kit one that anyone can build in about a hour or two.
Anyway, here she sits in the grass just off my driveway.

I must admit this is the first time I have seen a "British roundel" without the customary "blue" center. Is this something that was common during the first world war?

Anyway, thanks for looking and have a nice day,

Greg

ps. I am considering starting the Italeri 1:72 Merlin HMA.1 helicopter in just a little bit, if i do, you might see photos this evening

Nope, cant say that i know of any reason for the lack of cent dot. in the roundel... kinda wierd .

Anyway...a good looking Kit yet again! oh it would be nice to have time to build again (sob sob).

I Look forward to seeing the new bird later on tonight.

Howdy Russ and RJ,

Thanks for the kind words, this model is probably one of the simplist ones i have built in a long time that wasnt a resin kit. I have reviewed the model instructions and they provide no reason for the strange roundels although there were two sets of roundels included with the model, the other was French though. I dont know if it was an oversite on the manufacturers part or what.

As for the Merlin RJ, I cant wait to see yours....I still have to debox mine, i am not sure that i will finish it tonight since i have yet to start on it other than looking for tiger stripes.

anyway, thanks again guys, have a good day,

Greg
