Spent a great day at the local model show talking to fellow model builders and looking at scores of really beautiful models,out of them all here are my own favourites,they are a nicely detailed Pitcairn Autogyro,the record breaking clipt wing Bearcat,a clipt wing much modified Hawker Fury and a Vought Corsair also modified for racing.
The trade stalls were very interesting but one in particular caught my eye selling very unusual tools,I succombed and purchased some brass dies for reproducing small domed items from thin metal sheet,a neat little pin vise,and a combined miniature wire bender and clamp for bending intricate shapes in wire etc also a small hammer which had both soft and hard ends,useful additions to my tool kit.
On top of this the sun was shining which made the trip very pleasant and certainly worthwhile to get hold of those tools.
