The Tiger in the pic was that of Alfred Rubbel, great pics there for the album, and I agree with it been at Kursk.

I came across this on a Russian website whilst looking for JG54 pictures and thought it might be of interest to the armour builders.It's a busy scene with several vehicles which,of course, I know very little about!
It was purportedly taken near Kursk.
Also this one which says it is the commander of a Tiger examining battle damage,no wonder they felt invincible for a while.

Steve, I've seen this interesting picture before. Because it's an early Tiger 1 some say the picture was taken in Tunisia. Any thoughts chaps?
Also, when I first saw this photo I wondered where the very large Bunny Rabbit came from who is trying to push the tank back down the hill?!!!

It looks like the Russian Step to me, I was under the impression that Tunisia was more rocky and not so green as reflected in the second picture?
