I think it is a Dingo (Daimler?) scout car or something very similar. Is it in the UK? Try the tank museum at Bovington.

Yep, Definitely a Scout Car...!!

Should be loads of pics with a Google Search as The British Army used them for years....don't know if they still do (They were Officially retired in 1971 but I have seen them in use since then)...they were certainly around when I was a kid !! It was better known as the Ferret Scout Car.

Do a google image search on "Ferret scout car" with the quotes and you will turn up plenty of results.

If I remember rightly.......even good old Action Man had one too !!!

One Example below:

http://www.4wdonline.com/Mil/Ferret/Ferret.html This is the same vehicle but with a turret fitted....you will see quite a few in the pic results with the turret fitted too.

Regards....Mark

Definately a Ferret, and as a true Yorkshireman I know my Ferrets!!!

Just to prove it here's a couple of shots of when I had a go at driving one a few years ago on a "Red Letter Day".

You almost felt like you were laid back and the steering wheel was above you, a very strange driving position. I also remember it was very heavy to steer and it had a mind of its own!!
