the inside will be painted, but only really becauise of overspray, and the main purpose of the clear is to stop chipping

I read somewhere that you can polish up some paints with T-CUT , the stuff for removing small scratcheson full size cars. Try painting something with the black and when dry have a go at polishing it up . You might find something similar in NZ

well im a pannel beater apprentice here in nz, and the painters have huge tubs of cutting compund, i will try it

I use T-Cut on my bike and it basically removes a very very thin later of paint thus removing the scratchs so i would be VERY careful using this on your model (which is great btw), best bet is glass polishing paper, a littler harder to find but they go up to 24,000 grain and will really bring your bodywork up like glass (the MotoGP guys use a form of this...)

Flour paper with plenty of soapy suds does the tick for scratches and blemishes
