wow i never knew you could get chrome/aluminium systems for r/c cars!!!

how cool is that!!! and it will prob make it sound alot better than 99% of "barry boys" cars you see ragging it through town.

their all lik 1.1 with either a muffler on the end of a hole drilled into the silencer...pathetic!!!

and Finally,

As promised, I have managed to get some short Videos of the Skyline up online...they were all taken using a digital camera so are not massive files.
Log on to www.youtube.com and just type in MDSCUSTOMS into the search box and they will all come straight up.

More vids will be added shortly.

Regards.........Mark

Superb shots Mark, thanks for the links.

The lighting gives the model a whole new dimension and the blue downlighters are very effective. I would be terrified of operating it though!! Have you built it to race or just for your own enjoyment?

Thanks for all the comments Guys,

The car has proved to be a lot of fun since it was completed and has been very reliable. The Lights work fantastic, even when it gets dark now the fun doesn't have to stop, the lights are quite powerful and the car can be seen from some distance away, in fact they actually help driving it when it gets dark because you can see which way it is heading etc....so night driving is not as scary as you think.
I would certainly consider doing these again.
This car was built purely for fun for my nephew and he loves it to bits, he is learning the art of drifting with it now, it will drift very nicely even on 4 wheel drive....I know, I have had that pleasure with it.

The overdub sound in one of the Videos was done in one of my music programs which also handles video, I had to do a little Time Stretching with the sound sample to get it in sync but that only took 2 or 3 goes before it was right.

And Finally the NSX is almost ready to run, just finishing off the cooling holes etc, got all the markings & Logos done ready to go on and I will be racing that Skyline...!!!

Will keep you posted and videos will appear online soon

Regards.......Mark.

you can actually buy tyres for drifting they almost like plastic i think

drifting is fun but you fairly go through the tyres and clutches

i roasted my clutch on my mt2 doing them on dusty gravel place

As promised on another thread on here,
Had the cars out yesterday for their first run this year, so mainly checking for any problems.
Here is a a very nice video of the Skyline in action, you will see the other cars in the background too.
Only slight problem with the Skyline yesterday was the engine was running a little erratically but the cause was found, the backplate where the pullstart mounts was a little loose so pressure etc was escaping from the engine. We ran the car without putting the bodyclips on the shell as you will see where it came off right at the end & We did still get some good runs in.
The backplate has now been tightened up (4 small bolts inside the pullstart cover had come loose due to vibration from running...they have now been tightened and secured with Loctite Threadlock)

My Nephew Tom shot the Video whilst I drove the car, he did all the Video editing work too and I think he has done a nice job.

Here's the Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTfsLyTMa5Y
Enjoy...!!

Regards.....Mark
