| | All Round Modeller | Here's another shot with just one cluster of lights on test even before the chroming up of the housing is done.
The red glow is the red l.e.d's for the rear lights, these also function as brake lights on a switch operated by the throttle servo.
First pic is taken from 8 feet away.....2nd pic is normal close up shot
Quite powerful as you can see.
Regards........Mark.

| | All Round Modeller | And another couple for you with first set of lights in, Notice the xenon blue neons are mounted on the inside compared to the earlier lights testing pic, much better this way.
2nd photo gives you an idea of what it will look with under car neons in (These will be xenon blue only)
2nd set of lights will be in later on today.
Regards......Mark.

| | All Round Modeller | Yep,
We have been looking for a big tarmac area to run the cars on for a while (Although that Subaru does run off road nicely now) and then comes along Conwy Borough Council with this fantastic pitch...yep you could fly planes from it too!!!, just nice to have somewhere big enough to drive the cars around properly without worrying about running out of space or what you are going to hit !!
We ran quite a few tanks of fuel through on that pitch !!! and the school staff were watching !!!!

| it`s good to hear you have somewhere to run your models, places are getting few and far between where injury to people/property and keeping noise down is very difficult, especially as a crowd gathers !
but the cars are looking great, keep up the good work m8

| | All Round Modeller | Thanks Adzam,
Nearly done now, as you can see final touches going on now, Being as this car is a well known movie star, it is only right to do it in all it's glory with the proper markings and logos on.
Here is a pic showing all the bonnet logo transfers before being soaked and applied, the white background will be transparent when the transfers are placed on the car.
All the Logos were found by scouring the internet and then a crafty bit of editing in Paint to bring them all the same colour as per the real car.
Then printed off onto commercially available waterslide transfer paper suitable for Computers............Makes the whole job a lot easier.
Regards....Mark. |

| | All Round Modeller | P.S.
Forgot to post this one up, this is a complete sheet of Logo's for the Skyline as found on the car in the Film,
All the logos were found on the internet, re-coloured using paint and then resized to appropriate size on Microsoft Word to produce the sheet as shown.
(If you resize them in paint it destroys the pixelation on the images)
These are now Waterslide transfers printed on to commercially available waterslide transfer sheets for inkjet printers...For these ones I have used the sheets with the Clear backing (The sheets also come with a white background as per the ones shown in the photo above)
As you can see I have plenty of spare markings to use.
By the time you read this, a set of these will already be on the car.
Regards........Mark |
