Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R

Well here is the first stage done, paint now being allowed to harden overnight before removing masking and commencing trimming etc.

Markings etc will all be done after that.

The car belongs to my nephew Tom who is on here as -= Nemesis =-.

He's coming over tomorrow to do some bits on the car with me, So I have no doubt he will be taking plenty more pics to post on here for you.

Got a brand New Kyosho GX-12 Engine on the way for this car, so it should go well.

The first pic is the one from the Film 2 Fast 2 Furious and the 2nd is the model being done in same scheme.

Regards........Mark.

Thanks Adzam...it is a nice shell and quite thick plastic compared to others I've done.

Here is a pic with initial cutting out done...still a few rough edges to smooth off yet, window masking removed and a test fit for looks on the Chassis. The bodyposts have been removed here hence why the shell is sitting so low at the moment.

The grilles at the front are going to be opened up to allow decent cooling through for the engine and Aluminium mesh fitted in where appropriate.

It's going to be a nice car this one.

Regards.........Mark.

Thank you too Tom.

And for those of you who don't know....that is Tom aka -=Nemesis=- posing in the last pic above...!!!.

He has provided me with most of the reference material needed for this car. If you are wondering why the lights have been left clear on the shell...it is because this car is going to be fitted with fully working lights.....Tail-lights will be painted Red in due course.

Ps...the white blotches you can see in some of the pics above are just plastic dust from cutting the bodyshell and not bad paintwork...!!!

Regards..........Mark.

Thanks John,

Still a lot more to do yet with all the markings etc but most of the hard work is now done. Smoothed off the rough edges aound the sides today so they are all nice and clean, crisp and Straight. Will be doing final smoothing inside the Wheel Arches later. I have used to 2 different sized Mini-drills for the cutting etc. The most Powerful one being used for the cutting work and then the other one which has lower speed control for the final smoothing work.

Handy tools......don't know what I would do without them.

There is still a spoiler to be made for the rear yet but this will be a custom made item rather than the one supplied with the bodyshell.

Regards.......Mark.

Hey Mark,

Do you plan to put lights in it ?
And light strips under the car ?

I was thinking of doing a toyota celica myself.

Kris.

Hi Speedy,

Yes this will be fitted with fully working lights and eventually strip lights will be fitted under the car (I've had my orders to do this from my nephew whose car it is....!! )
