Cool Lacia Stratos African Safari Rally

      Hi All
I'm still about, but things have been a little busy with work and family stuff.
Well, I brought this model for a club competition a few months ago but have not got round to taking any photo's of it yet. These were taken on the clubs stand at the MAVFA show in Duxford a couple of weeks back.
The kit is from Italeri but it is expensive for what you get in the kit. No engine, the rear part of the body does not match the front. You need to do quite a bit of correction work with the file and filler on this kit, a dissapointing kit. Aimed at the younger generation of modellers but in the adults price bracket.
      So here it is.

      Current Projects:
Captured Russian KV1 tank, Custom 53 Ford Pick-up, Custom 53 Chevy BelAir, M41A3 Walker Bulldog, plus a few more!

That's really impressive weathering! Or have you taken a picture of the real one and 'fixed' your 'photo!?

I always loved this car and you have done a great job with it. It just looks like it's done the business. Had a real one "back" into a concrete barrier about four feet from me a few years ago - expensive!

Absolutely real looking and great work.
However, dirt could have a slightly more reddish tint. The soil in many parts of Africa is Laterite which contains iron and aluminum sulfates. Years back i was driving 0-car for one stretch of Safari Rally.
