Picture Quiz Time!!

As Char has so kindly started the ball rolling again with her quiz I thought I would pay my respects to her and put together a picture quiz as she so superbly did all those months ago.

So here we go, the questions obviously refer to the appropriate numbered picture:

1) Name the Motorcycle

2) Name the car

3) Name the aircraft

4) How did this vessel meet it's fate?

5) Name the train AND what was it's claim to fame?

6) Name this good looking chap

7) Name the ship

8) Name the tank at the rear.

9) Name the aircraft

10) Name the aircraft.

11) If you have got all those there is a big bonus ball to be had. What is the link between all those pictures?

Good luck and enjoy the quiz. By the way save a couple for Tiger!!

1) Ariel Arrow
2) Mk1 Ford Cortina
3) Saab 37 Viggen
4) HMS Hood - Sunk by the Bismarck
5) Evening Star - The last steam locomotive built for British Railways
6) Oliver Cromwell
7) The Golden Hind
8) M3 "General Grant"
9) Sud Aviation Caravelle
10) Vickers Vimy

And as for the link between them - I'll save that for Tiger, unless it's something cryptic like the fact you had pin up pictures of them under the lid of your school desk or something?

Is that Monty himself poking out of the hatch in No.8? It looks a lot like the one on display at the Imperial War Museum.

9 out of 10 there Alan, well done, one wrong.

Now who is going to tell me what the link is, it isn't cryptic or obscure!

As for the link between them all - is it that you've made scale models of all of them? Not sure if Airfix ever made an Oliver Cromwell figure though, maybe a Cromwell Tank though?

:P

Oops, sorry, I need to pay more attention, two wrong, but the Mayflower was one of them.

One left to get.

As for the link, the subject of each picture has been modelled by Airfix. Yes they did make a figure of Oliver Cromwell. So if you know that you should be able to work out which is the one remaining wrong answer.
