Hello everyone. this is my first time here and I enjoy building carded models of all kinds.
I am looking for a carded model of a horse for a friend if anyone has a site or copy of a model I would greatly appriciate it.

Howdy Goldwing,

Glad to see you made it, we are glad to have you here. In as much as the cardmodels section is new here and the "native" members here were relatively new to cardmodelling, Let me see what I can do for you in the arena (pun intended) of a horse. Now I am not promising anything, but i used to know where a unicorn model was. It could be built w/o the horn so this may suffice i hope, just gimme abit to look around for it again.

Stay tuned to this channel lol Have a good day,

greg

Howdy Goldwing,

OK, I am back from my surfing the net. However, not with good news The Unicorn site I had mentioned apparently was recently aquired by some company.
But......., I did a search on the cardmodels.net site for "unicorn" since I knew I had posted the unicorn link there and I also knew there were other "horse" links posted too. So, the best I can do for you are "not so sophisticated" race horse models. These model even include the jockeys lol. There are horses with all sorts of names...even seabiscuit.

here is a pic of the models....like I said, "not so sophisticated" :

Here is the link to the models, seabiscuit is about 4th or 5th from last:

I am sorry I couldnt be of more help to you, occassionally someone will stump me with a cardmodel I cant find, and this is one of them, so consider yourself in an elite group lol.

Have agood day,

Greg

ps, now if you had wanted a south american armadillo or a tree sloth, I could help ya there, but nothing as unexotic and mundane as horse lol.
If you would like to look at more animal models, including a zebra, you might look over this page of links:

Howdy Gold,

Check out this google search for .pbo related info: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...f&q=.pbo+files
I personally have never heard of them. Sorry I cant help you.
You might try searching for ".pbo file extractor".

Have a good day,

Greg

Now I have seen .PDO files in computer generated 3d drawings, but I dont think that this is what you are looking for.

Howdy again Gold,

Ok, on the same page you downloaded pepakura, you will also find "pepakura viewer", that will open .pdo files. (google search for pepakura viewer)
As for other suggestions other than pepakura, I dont know of any other unfolding programs out there for free.
If you want to try another 3d modeling program, do a google search for "anim8or" and d/l that program and the .pdf instructions too (instruction .pdf is about 100 pages, it leads you thru the process of creating things with the program). But you still have to use pepakura to unfold it.

sorry I couldnt be of more help,

Greg
