How the heck did I miss that?? Thank you kindly. I guess I was too quick in browsing the links I think I will purchase that this. I was wondering if you know of anyone that has build this particular model or if there are any reviews? This model seems to be pretty big being 1/33 scale so it'll be close to my 1/35 scale plastic model. You have been so very helpful. I really sincerely appreciate your time. Thank you.

I started building it myselves....but it went down the drain....
It was one of my first attempts on papermodels, and I did some errors that I would not do now...
Instead of cutting in the "book" I scanned the kit and printed it on 220g high gloss photopaper (didn't know better)....

So here you can see the abandon project....
http://www.kartonbau-forum.de/wbb2/t...?threadid=4067

And as you can see....my attempt really sucks...
So my advice will be....build it from the original book!!

Johnny, thank you for the link. I take it the actual paper model in the book is way better? Good to hear. Since this will be my first ever paper model I just wanted to get all the info right. The only part I will be using is the cargo opening at the back. That means I will cut the model in half to accommodate the space needed on my dio.

Any other advice I should know about before diving in? I would like to get it right from the first go. Also what type of glue is more preferable, namebrand maybe? THanks again. You are really patient with me. I owe you big time.

If this is your first cardmodel you have to take care of a couple of things.
Get yourselves an exel or exacto knive that uses blades nr11.
Also get a metal ruler.
The glue I use is the Scotch school white glue, that I drag into a syringe for precise gluing.I guess almost any white glue will do.
Your cuts have to be very accurate since there is not much room for errors.
I try to cut right on the black lines (cutting the line in half).
The instructions on the C130 is very good

If there is anything you will ask, feel free to do so
Just send me an e-mail, and I will help as much as I can.

Johnny

Greg, dont be too hard on yourself, what about trying to blend in the paintwork with a fine very airbrush nozzle ? it is only the edges that disjoint the finished effect, but what a great subject for a model, and whoever designed it got the shapes just right.
You could use acrylics as well applied thinly with a fine artists brush, just a thought.
