With pepakura you can open a 3d model and then fold it flat to create the development or net for the card model.

You can use any 3d package like gmax, 3ds max, google sketchup etc to create the models.

Nice to see someone else using MSPaint for their stuff too, a very under-rated but useful little program for us Model Makers - I use it quite a lot for decals.
