| | Scale Model Member | Canadair CL-415 1:72 Card, FREE Hello everyone,
Living here in the S of France, we are always very grateful for the services of the aerial fire-fighters. In honour of the brave pilots and their crew, I have designed a model 1:72 Canadair CL-415 fire-fighter with the French markings. Download the free sheets - but don't sell them or else!
Just at present, there may be problems with the site (Data Transfer Overflow), but be patient. Download at www.geocities.com/freecardaviation .
Cheers,
Bob |

| Howdy Bo, Fisrt allow me to welcome you to the site, we are glad you found us. I have been promoting cardmodels here for sometime and your latest creation The CL 415 is a superb example of what can be done in paper. I caught your thread over at the card models site this morning and was about to mention your site here after I posted my photos of my latest plastic build....but when I completed my posting, you had already posted your thread yourself. Anyway, post all you want here, these guys seem to like to see models from every type medium, plastic, paper, concrete lol etc.. Again, glad to have you here and welcome. have a good day, Greg aka GW |

| Hi Bob and a very warm welcome to the forum. As Greg says we have a pretty diverse range of interests here but I don't seem to remember anyone making a model out of concrete, not yet anyway.
We look forward to seeing and hearing a bit more about what you do.

Here's my lifework's second and latest model (I started late!), the Canadair CL-215, again free. You can download it at www.geocities.com/freecardaviation . Enter the site, and click on MY OWN FREE MODELS. It has many similarites to the CL-415, which is why I managed it so rapidly.
Since I joined this forum (with 3 other ones at the same time - cardmodels.net , scale-models.co.uk , kartonbau.de , canadairs.marignane.free.fr)), I have received so much spam, that I am considering leaving the forums. Has anyone else had the same problem? Anyway, the geocities site is always available.
Any problems or errors (2 left wings, a back-to-front tail fin, wheels missing etc), just contact me on my e-mail address.
I'm looking for 1:72 card model (to make) of a Dash 8. Any ideas where?
Cheers, and have fun. |

| Howdy Bo, Well, being both a cardmodeler and a plastic modeler, I too am a member of both the cardmodel forums you mentioned and this one. I havent recieved any spam thru this site or the cardmodels.net site but back when I first joined the German cardmodel site I did recieve some. I simply "blocked" them as I got them and after about 1 week, I seem to have had them all blocked and they were no longer a problem. Now again, I dont use "Outlook express" as my email service, instead I use Yahoo email. Most major email servers like yahoo and Hotmail have spam filters already installed so when I do get spam, its just a matter of "training" the service to recognize spam. So, dont give up on the forums, any of them. We are glad to have you here and with talent like yours, it would be a shame to not have you around. Have a good day, Greg |

I hope you can filter out some of that unwanted spam email!
What software do you use to create the card models, I've been using pepakura to create the developments for milling out some parts and find it works a treat.

| | Scale Model Member | I use MSPaint quite happily and save as a bmp, and then convert to pdf using CutePDF. Only problem, I can't find a software to merge all the PDF pages into 1 file - cheaply, ie free.
Must check out your pepakura.
I have a good spam filter (SpamBully), but it files it under Spam which I have to check anyway, as some new good things are spammed erroneously.
Thanks
