Problems (?) with Pepekura and Blender

I converted a bmp file showing the outlines of an airplane cockpit, to dxf using both wintopo and TraceArt software. No problem. Using a 'view' software, the 2 dxf files iareOK.
When I open the file in either Pepakura or Blender software, all I see is a white screen. What's going on? Can anyone help?

Pepakura has never handled dxf files well in my experience (And I've been using it 3 years). I get best results in Autodesk 3DS format. Your problem might also be that you're importing a planar (2D) view instead of a 3D dxf file.
