Howdy JT,

Yes the yamaha models are amazing, I have pointed them out to a few other ppl in here before. If you would like some links to card models, let me know what type you are interested in and i can give ya some links to sites that have that type model.

I'm currently building a Tamiya Ferrari F189 and joined the site to get some tips on painting and airbrushing. However, the card modeling looked really interesting. I have found a Ferrari F1-2000 to build, a tank and some aircraft.

The Aston Martin looks a really good model to have a go at.

I've currently printed to matte paper (heavyweight 160g) but thinking of using a glossy photo paper to improve the look.

Any advice, tips, links, much appreciated.

well you are on the right track as far as I am concerned...i too use glossy photo paper for cardmodels. Being photo paper, the color holds fast and the gloss shine cant be beat. Although, you can spray a clear gloss coat over the finished model to "lock in" the printing. Another plus is that Photo paper generally resists water for the most part, the drawback of photo paper is the use of white glue.
Although white glue will work, photo paper is naturally "springy" so instead, i use superglue.

Cars:
I'm a big fan of Ferrari. Mainly F1.
I used to drive a Jaguar XJS, (it was 10 years old and I picked it up cheap as it was British Leyland built).

Bikes:
I also rode a Yamaha RD350 LC and a Honda CB900 back in the day.

Planes:
I have a small collection of limited edition prints and it would be cool to have some models to match. The planes are:- Lancaster (Dambusters), PANAVIA Tornado, Spitfire (D-Day Markings), Hurricane (Ginger Lacy) and a ME 109. These are the pictures I have on the walls at the moment. One other plane I would really like is the Fairy Swordfish.

Boats:
I remember doing two plastic boats when I was young. The Bismark (didn't we all have that one?) and HMS ARK Royal (WW2). I remember pushing them around the carpet as a lad.

TV/Movies:
Batmobile (original TV show), Interceptor (UFO), Eagle Transporter (Moonbase Alpha), Anything from Captain Scarlet.

I think I've mentioned enough. They don't have to be free. If they come from a recommended supplier then I don't mind paying. The exchange rate with the US is good at the moment.

Yes I have got the Yamaha pit gear for my diorama that I'm doing for a model car comp at the nd of the year here iny home state of South Australia, they have some amazing bikes on that site.
