Greg I don't want it back I just want to launch it into space maybe with a message to who ever finds it out there to return it to it's rightful owner how about that one.

Nice build.

I think you should put a pencil in it and leave in your pocket till you need it. You will need a big pocket though.

For you next build you could do a large pencil sharpener.

Cheers JTF

Oh man, I used to fly model rockets all of the time!! Anyone remember Estes? The flying models are contructed out of thicker cardboard type material and have a special coating that seems to toughen up the skin. That sidewinder would look awesome shooting up into the wild blue yonder!!!

At the London model engineering exhibition there was a stand of Model Rockets...some of which were massive! Very impressive engineering too! In that case it really is rocket science!

What are the regulations regarding use of larger rockets, some look like they are big enough to do a huge amount of damage if they got into the wrong hands!

Hey Alan:
Well, back when I was a kid in the early 80's we just found a field and stuck a coat hanger in the ground, a waterproof wic in the engine and a piece of curved ductwork tubing for the exhaust blast! Nowadays, my LHS does still carry estes engines, which are just a condensed form of gunpowder. I'm shure that a permit is required but given the famous lovely "patriot act" and the ability to produce hieghts of close to 3 miles, a careful bit of planning is necessary. BOOM!

Nice build of the sidewinder - looks great. Sorry - I am a little late with my contribution to this thread.

As far as I know Adrain Lamande is an Australian guy, that Eric and Dave from DPileggi was in touch with. I think, that he only has done this model.

Eric has by the way published some other models at Rocketry Blog a fantasy model M.A:G.P.I.E and a model of Ed knievels skycycle. Look under Ultimate Paper Rocket Guide Rocketry Blog

Finally he has done a Micro Maxx converson of one of my static models of the Indian sounding rocket Rohini. This is a new model at my website

Best Regards

Niels
