The flywheel will be turning clockwise looking from the back of the engine and anti-clockwise from the front of the engine.

Hi people,im new to this site but im currently running a complete Thunder Tiger SSK.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
My email address is snoop69@ntlworld.com

From my experiences you will also need to invest the following :-

Failsafe - i use a GWS
Carb return spring - mine has been trashed twice due to the batteries failing with a w.o.t.
Avoid the Jaguar radio gear that comes supplied with RTR Thunder Tigers - its rubbish!
Make sure all your grub screws are Loctited with the blue one.
Put a fuel tank protector between the clutch bell & tank - i punctured one recently during a head on with a fence (should of had a carb spring)!

Parts can be found at mad4motorsport.com they live on the Isle Of Wight.I think he charges about £3.00 for postage but my parents live near so let me know & can get them for you at a more realistic price.

If you need anymore info or help let me know.

My Truck is almost complete...Just need rear mountings, and bodyshell..

I decided to contact my local model shop and get some fuel info..
Got told best fuel to use for this type of truck is "Tornado"

Tornado Model Engine Fuel and has to be 20% Nitro..
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I personally think everyone should complain to hachette..The so called Glowplug starter (what u get with ur controller set) is a waste of time and might aswell go in the bin...Cos this starter will not fireup ur truck..After half hour of trying to startup the truck and found out that the so called glowplug starter wasn't even making the glowplug glow..(a descent starter will make the coil of the glowplug glow bright red)

I have gone out and purchased a glowplug starter (ni-cd battery style)
and my truck fired up after about 5 minutes..Only problem have found is that u haven't got no prime the carb facility(most cars/trucks have a little button u pump on the fuel tank to allow fuel to get into the carb easier)
I can prime it by taking the pipe that goes into exhaust and blow until u see enough fuel in the carb (with air-filter off)..
Truck fires up everytime and does go well..
If anyone does follow this make sure that u don't run the truck in full throttle..I left the truck running in tickover with full tank of fuel.Once ran out i refuelled and only used half throttle for another tank full..
That should be plenty for the engine to bed in...

I hope this has helped people..

PS regarding oil for Air Filter u don't need to use any!

you should heat cycle your engine to break it in

its the best way to breask your engine in

fill it up fire it up and drive about at half throttle for 2 mins stop it and let it cool down completely with the piston bottom dead centre and repeat about 6 times

then your engine is heat cycled

I have just recieved my last edition (issue 70)and hackette now decided to come up with a new idea on the monster truck..

Order 17 issues to get Twin-speed transmission, racing clutch, aluminium chassis spine,4mm steel drive shafts, reinforced aluminium steering arms..

i personally want to see if i can get these parts somewhere else cos u r going to buy over the odds for it..
