| Looking at that list it seems the only thing I've missed out on is the tanks. The first models I did at school were aircraft kits (by Veron & Keil Kraft I think) - a Mosquito comes to mind amongst others. These were lovingly sanded pre-shaped blocks of balsa. I recall the best bit was the sealing and doping! Substance abuse was unheard of in the early '50s! And then someone appeared with a new-fangled plastic kit in a bag. That caused a sensation. Moved onto doing development work for Scalex on their early tin-plate Maseratis and Ferraris shortly after their first Scalextric sets came out.
Nowadays it's all boats - mainly subs. Though I think there's still a couple of Williams F1 cars in the loft. Might dig those out now that the garage is getting cold at night.

| There is a guy in Halifax who produces kits of houses, walls, buildings etc from real stone.
I made a dry stone wall which I used as a display base for an old motorcycle model and it looks very effective. |

| Used to be tanks, plastic models mainly. Got a small r/c one and would love a larger one but cannot justify it.
Now into boats. Prefer r/c to plastic kits but making the former from the latter at the moment. |
