Good definitely

Hello all, well Santa (aka Susan) did remarkably well. A nice kit from www.scalemodelboatyards.co.uk for the Tug "Civitavecchia" and the necessary glues etc. Plus three more back issues of the journal "Model Shipwright" thanks to www.abebooks.co.uk hopefully this coming year will see more added to the shelf space and build the full set going back to the early 70's. and of cousre the obligatry bottle of malt. unfortunately we both managed to buy each other the same DVD. Life is good and I hope you alll did equally as well.

cheers

Jim

Well Santa's sack was somewhat limited in size this year and it had to get through customs and security. Consequently mostly DVD's and a couple of items of clothing. We sat round the TV in the afternoon and watched "Carry on Cruising" (1962) and marvelled at how young they all looked. Still a good laugh.I have been told that there is a nice new lazer leveller waiting for me at home so I did get one toy.

To me though the best bit was watching her open the digital camera that I bought for her. She has wanted one for a long time so I bought her a really dinky new Coolpix S3. Better resolution than my E-10. The best bit of the day was watching her face when she realised what it was. Priceless.

Me and the wife wasn't buying each other anything this year, we bought a 20" LCD TV for the bedroom in stead, but I couldn't have her not open anything on xmas day so I bought her an Ipod Nano, I guess she must have thought the same and bought me a new stereo for my car, my old car cd player jumped more than a kangaroo on speed

got various bits n bobs but the best prezzie under the tree this year in our house was for my son, its was an little RC plane, a ready to fly affair, looked very toylike, but actually is a good laugh, only any good outside on very still days but a laught all the same.... - its an aero jex- and for £35 its a steal, limited range but a great park flyer, planes battery pack charges from the transmitter so no trips back to the car for charging- a great little thing to drag along when you plan those summer days out and picnics !

My fiance and I bought her son a monster truck that does about 40mph, he loves it and so do I!

I did very well, but the 1:48 Viggen she got me was a great shout and the reason I'm here!
