New Models for this Year...??

On the subject of the post below, "What did you get for Xmas" did anyone get any new models or kits...???

Anyone got any ideas or plans for new models this year...???

Now I have got my Nephews 2 cars out of the way, (His Subaru Impreza has been back in for mods, new tyres and new tuned pipe exhaust and the Skyline is finally on roll out ready to run) I have time for my own models now. I will still of course be doing cars, boats and finally back to flying again.

I have a couple of models in the pipeline, I will finally finish off my Pilot ACE 20-L (given to me by my cousin years ago but much modified and a nice colour scheme applied) it has an 0S 25 fitted as recommended and looks the part...totally different from the original kit design.

I still have a Scale De-Haviland Beaver to finish off so that will see light of day again now too. ( I was going to do this last winter but it got waylaid with other projects)

I also have plans to build a new PSS Soarer, having been up the local slopes a lot recently and seen some of the excellent models up there, including a very nice PSS SU-27. I have a nice set of plans for an F-15 Eagle which would convert nicely to a PSS Soarer...ideal for dog-fighting with that SU-27.
I have always wanted to build the F-15 and have the Pavel Bosak Plans done by Traplet Publications. It is a big model but would fly well as a PSS Soarer (and it is about the same scale as the SU-27).

Even better more so now I have found a new model shop around here closer to me than I thought, and they have plenty of stuff in stock. I only found out about this shop about 3 weeks ago talking to a guy flying a honeybee electric R/C heli down on my local beach whilst I was walking my dogs, he told me about the shop, so I did a visit which was well worth it.

Yes, I could order stuff online but it is so much nicer to be able to actually able to go into a real shop and choose what you want.

Regards......Mark

Nah Nigel,

Whilst the Float Version of the Beaver is nice and I have plenty of Water around here to land on, I am doing an Army Air Corps Version, My Dad is Ex Army Air Corps and has worked with Beaver units and he has always wanted me to build one from his old unit. Needless to say I have plenty of close up Photos to get everything spot on.

It will be a big Plane too - The Wingspan on this one is 8 Feet. So far I have got the Fuselage done. Power will be a Russian MVVS .40 Diesel.

Regards.....Mark.

Seeing as you mentioned the Float Version Nigel,
Here you go, took this Pic at WoodVale in 1987...A very fine model too. Mine will be about the Same size as this when done (8 feet Wingspan)
