MrsD, what a pleasure to see you posting here. A you say Nigel loved the place and Charlotte seems to enjoy her time with us so it's an honour to welcome another member of the family.

Dare we ask, Are you into modelling as well or simply taking part in the chat we have here? Nigel was certainly a great asset to what we do here and his patience , experience and expertise are very much missed.

Whatever you want to ask us about feel free and, as I say to all newcomers, enjoy your time here.

Thanks for your kind reply BB !
Im just nosing about really - I am building a 1/12th scale dolls house but without Nigels help its ground to a bit of a halt. Thats my only foray into modelling to be honest - I have always just been content to supply the coffee and nod enthusiastically as required ;-)

Dolls House, now that's a sore point here. I bought a kit for Annette for Christmas about 10 years ago and we started to make it together. Since then it has sat in the attic for about the last eight years and is currently behind about three model boat projects.

Annette mentions it on a regular basis!! The trouble is once I had got the model boat bug there was no going back so I can see it in the attic for another eight years. (Don't tell Annette though )

..and glad to have you Burg. Another international member, welcome to Scale Models.

I hope that you find something usefull amongst our ever increasing archives and enjoy your time with us. Don't worry about age, I went through a period of well over ten years when I didn't touch a model but now I am back into it and enjoying it all the more. It is certainly one of those things that age plays no part in!!
