Everything Airbrush collected the faulty item and sent a refund straight away - I went in for a used Jun-Air industrial silent compressor with a 25L reciever. It was a pretty good buy at £100 and comes with a solenoid automatic drain valve too with a 1L tank so I can stick the thing out of the way and let it do it's thing in fridge like silence.

Ebay has a lot of very good Industrial compressors - in good condition and with little use for about the same as some of the cheaper import airbrush compressors.
