1/16 scale R/C IMAI ELEFANT. released 1974.
I Dont think Imai exist as a company any more. but from legend they taught Tamiya everything they know. And Tamiya still cannot match the detail of there Elephant production. 100% detail and all diecast metal kit. literally hundreds of nuts and bolts, true scale accurate working suspension (even had authentic waterproof rubber gaskets, gun elevation and recoil.
Originally cost a couple hundred quid, they now sell for thousands.
I have visited many tank related sites, and one thing is agreed this is the model to crown all models. Exact fit, exact scale...perfection!!!!!
I WANT ONE SoooooooooooooooooooooOOO BAD it hurts.

AHHRGGH

Last night I knocked my 1/6th Predator of the display stand.
I now have a kit with twice as many parts as there were originally(especially his hair strands)

But I just managed to catch 1/5th Arnie whew!

Now that is a good bit of news as that model is the best of all worlds. Superb kit with a nice level of detail, good size with Engels quality enginering.

Now that is exciting news, thank you.
Yes it's a great looking kit alright. I just as you know, finished my robbe #7 with engel gear. If I hadn't and still had that $2000 I'd be buying one for sure!!!
