| 7/7 remembered Howdy Guys,
I just wanted to let "my" / our friends in the UK know that us "Yanks" are thinking about ya'll today, one year after the terrorist attacks in the london tube. We will win this war on terror together and with our other allies.
God Bless you all,
Greg aka GW |

| Thanks for the comments gents.
Interestingly enough the current relationship with the US is not always seen positively in the UK but I firmly beleive that the fight against terrorists should be taken to a global level and I for one find it dissapointing when powerfull countries such as Franch and Germany do not seem to want to take up thier responsibilities.
Yesterday was a very poignant day across the country with a two minute silence being observed but I am certain that we will have to continue our fight to rid the world of such people.
I am reassured though by the fact that the vast majority of the ethnic minorities living here were equally appalled by such actions and they are going to play a key role in tackling the problem.
The bombers actually came from where I live so feelings in this area have been quite tense for the past year. |

| Greg, thank you for such heart warming comments,it is as always a minority that seek to destroy things, only by pulling together will we crack the hatred that these people show towards other human beings,we can seek re-assurance that the majority of people are good living honest souls who want worldwide peace,I doubt whether mankind will ever live in total perfect harmony as history tells us otherwise, but we can live in hope that this world will one day become a far better place for our children, and childrens children,we are totally with you my friend.

| Hello Bunker, Barry, itsa,
I know today is July 8th, and the posting was "7/7 remembered" but, just like our own 9/11 here in the US, these are dates that should be remembered each and everyday.
So, in short, dont let the memory of what happened or how our two countries came togther in a united front to fight for our way of life on these dates fade from our memories.
We here in the US will be there for the people of the UK just as we know you will stand with us when the need arises.
So, on behalf of the people of the US, thank you for being there for us, just as you have thanked us for being there in your time of need.
Have a good day,
Greg aka GW |

| Howdy Nigel,
Congratulations to your son Rob, Nigel.
Tell him just to remember a few things:
Never argue with a woman, just nod your head and agree with her....and then go do what you were gonna do in the first place.
If she ever says "We need to talk", that does not mean that Rob needs to talk, this means she needs to talk and he needs to listen, in fact, he should not speak unless asked a question and then it should be answered with as few words as possible. never volunteer anything.
Remeber that weddings and funerals are pretty much the same thing, in both people get dressed up, the music is bad, people cry and in both, someones life is over.
He should never introduce his new wife to his friends as "My First wife".
And just remember, "we cant all be happy, someone has to be married".
seriously, congratulations to your families new addition, I wish them a wonderful life together.
Have a good day,
Greg aka GW |
