Smile James May's Top Toys

Did anyone (In the UK!) watch the James May's Top Toys program last night on BBC2?

What an interesting program, covering everything from Airfix, Lego, Meccano, Scalextric, Train Layouts and most things in between.

I really enjoyed it.

This was already a repeated program so it may come around again.

Guy, I was wondering if you had anything to do with it when I saw the Lego bit. I don't think his Lego Lancaster was a very positive message though!!

I liked the bit in the auction room kiosk where he said have you got a bin back there ? he then proceeded to scrap the original boxes for a Tri-ang train set that collectors would give their right arm for !
The programme was on before Richard when you were at sea,it covered a lot in that programme.
The bit about deliberate mistakes in the Meccano manuals was true, there are several instances of this on fairly basic models.

the bloke featured was an AFOL, ( adult fan of LEGO)- he is known to us !!!

the LEGO company have a 'pacifist' policy and as a result they do not market any kits such as figter jets or tanks...... its also the reason there is next to no brown or green bricks in the range so you cant build camouflage coloured models !
however this is a gap in the market that mega bloks are exploiting !!!
