Smile Modelflags.com

Every now and then you come across a vendor that completely restores your faith in human nature and the business world in general and makes you realise that all the hassles we have with far too many suppliers are not necessarlily normal.

A couple of weeks ago or so I purchased a number of flags to adorn my model boats from modelflags.com. There were a mix of Kreigsmarine, White Ensigns, Red Ensigns and a Customs flag, all of which with a specific purpose and each carefully measured up for a particular model.

I only fitted the U-Boat flag and simply checked that the others were OK and put them in my box ready to fit at a later date. I didn't actually measure the flags so I simply assumed that they were all OK, however a few days later I received an e-mail from modelflags asking me to check the flags as they thought I might have one of the wrong size.

Sure enough when I checked one of the Kreigsmarine flags was 10mm and not the 15mm one I required.

Not only did they notice the mistake but they contacted me and are going to send me the correct flag complete with a stamped addressed envelope to return the wrong one.

This is absolutely superb service and it gives me great pleasure to pass this on to you all in the hope that modelflags may generate some business from it. They certainly deserve it.

I've dealt with Brian for some time now and have always found modelflags.com to be extremely helpful and very speedy in handling orders - even my small ones. You always get good advice too if you just ask. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
